Onboarding for supervisors

Email your HR Partner the New hire (and transferring in) form and offer letter as soon as possible for timely entry. If applicable to your department, your HR Partner will initiate contact with your new hire to set up a meeting. During this meeting they will go over new hire paperwork and learn more about resources for new employees.

I-9 forms must be completed within three days of the employee's start date. Your HR Partner will ask that your new hire complete their section online prior to coming in for the new hire meeting. During this online process, the employee will be presented with a list of acceptable documents. These identification documents must be presented to the HR Partner during the new hire meeting. Please ensure your new hire comes prepared with two forms of identification from the list of acceptable documents. If your employee has a visa, see OHR's list of documents for visas.

Other payroll related forms (W-4, direct deposit) are completed on the employee self-service website (link goes to instructions for MyU. You must have an x500 before you can use MyU).

  • Payroll Forms:  Other payroll related forms (W-4, direct deposit) are completed on either on paper prior to hire or on their first day, and can also be done through the MyU website once the employee has received their internet ID and password. (You must have an x500 before you can use MyU).
     
  • Axium/Mipacs Access:  If your employee will need to access Axium and Mipacs, please fill out the Axium/Mipacs New User Request Form.
